1984 Chicago Cubs as-played Replay last day report that I recently found on a backup hard drive. I lost most of the files on a hard drive crash but was fortunate to find this.
A few things that I remember about this season:

Gary Matthews had a monster season (.337) and had 9 rbi’s in his first 2 games
Jody Davis had a great season .297  29hr and 103rbi’s
Sandberg won the MVP with 31hr’s
Dennis Eckersly was 16-2 at one point.
Rick Sutcliffe finished at 16-2.
Keith Moreland had less than 30 rbi’s at the all star break but still ended up over 80(I think).

I input manual dice rolls for the first third of the season, the second third I used a Windows freeware dice rolling app, the last third of the season I let Strat roll the dice for me. Maybe that had something to do with the amount of wins the Cubs had. I do feel that I should outperform the real season since I already know how guys will perform, but ultimately it is up to the dice.

0.

Soto put on a good performance. He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 1 walk
in 8 and 1/3 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.

Third baseman Tim Wallach hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI as the Montreal
Expos beat the New York Mets by a score of 7 to 6.

Montreal promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring a single
run. New York made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the
needed runs across.

Bill Gullickson(9-11) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 1/3 innings
and allowing 5 runs. Jeff Reardon got the save, his 31st. Ron Darling(11-14)
was hit with the loss. He gave up 6 runs in 4 innings of work.

Win:Denny(12-6) Loss:Tudor(12-12)

John Denny delivered 9 solid innings as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the
Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 6 to 0 at Veterans Stadium.

Philadelphia took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring
one runner. Mike Schmidt drew a walk. Ozzie Virgil next to the plate and he
laced a single. John Russell then hit a deep fly scoring the run. That
early scoring was all that Denny(12-6) needed. Philadelphia finished with
just 6 hits in the victory.

John Tudor(12-12) ended up with the loss. Philadelphia scored big getting 6
runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings. Chuck Tanner was obviously impressed with
the pitching of Denny, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there this
afternoon. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working for
him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'

In a good matchup it was the Pittsburgh Pirates 5, the Philadelphia Phillies 3

Pittsburgh had 3 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning when they had 3 base
hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Brian Harper who deflated the
spirits of the home town crowd when he cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the
season). Philadelphia proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.

The victory went to Larry McWilliams(13-15) who went 7 innings, allowing 3
runs. John Candelaria gained credit for his 1st save. Shane Rawley(8-7) took

Orel Hershiser racked up an impressive total of 11 strikeouts and right

Dodgers outscored the San Francisco Giants 9 to 0.

Brewer had a good day at the plate. He doubled which plated a run in the 5th
inning, stroked a base-hit resulting in a run in the 7th inning and popped a
two-run clout over the fence (his 3rd of the season) in the 8th inning. Los
Angeles had a total of 17 hits for the game.

For Hershiser(13-8) it was his 4th shutout this year. Mark Davis(8-14) was the
losing pitcher. He surrendered 2 runs and 7 hits in 5 innings.

Danny Ozarak lamented, 'Hershiser was really aggressive today. He kept coming
after our hitters. Heck, why not. he kept sitting our guys down one after

Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs in 13 innings 10 to 6.

Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. St. Louis won it in
the 13th inning. The crucial at-bat was provided by Green who silenced
Wrigley Field as he lofted a three-run bomb (his 17th of the season). This
was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept
changing - 6 times in all.

Kevin Hagen(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Rich Bordi(9-2)
was charged with the loss in relief. He was knocked around pretty good,
